Generation Z are education’s current clients. They have never known a world without the Internet. They socialise online, shop online, fight online, romance online. They think both visually and globally. They were born ‘connected.’ They live ‘connected.’ In 2020 they proved that they could learn ‘connected.’

The pandemic has taught educators that it is possible to be flexible, and still have structure, and that distance is not the enemy of order. We have learned that change is scary but manageable and that technology is not the ‘big bad’ that will dilute our teaching practice. Will we integrate these pedagogical learnings as permanent features now that things have returned to normal?
