Jane is a nurse who works full-time and has specialised in her field for almost 25 years. She says ‘Nursing is not always glamorous, our patients are not always grateful for our ministrations, and others struggle with our dark humour, but nursing is an honour and a privilege.’ Jane did not become a nurse for the money; she comments that she made more money working in Kmart when she first started out, and she takes us through highlights of her professional journey as nursing became a profession in Australia.
